We’ll start by picking your perfect pigment shade and mapping out your lip shape beautifully.
Once you’re nice and numb for comfort, I’ll delicately layer in the pigment using a cross-hatching shading technique to create that soft, kissable tint.

If you have a favourite everyday lipstick, feel free to bring it along to your appointment! It really helps to see the colour you love. I’ll look at how it works with your complexion and test shades on your skin to find the best match for your natural lip tissue. While many factors can affect how the colour heals, we’ll aim for the closest possible match in the same shade family to give you a result you’ll love.
A numbing cream is applied before we start to keep you as comfortable as possible. Throughout your treatment, I’ll check in with you and can adjust as needed. Because it’s a gentle form of cosmetic tattooing, you may feel some mild sensation, but most clients find it very manageable.
Yes, some swelling is completely normal after a lip blush treatment. It’s typically mild and settles down within a few hours to a couple of days. Everyone’s skin responds differently—some people notice very minimal swelling, while others may see a bit more for a short time. I’ll give you full aftercare guidance to help keep you comfortable and support a smooth healing process.
It’s often worth starting with lip blush first—it enhances your natural shape and colour, often reducing the need for filler. Fillers and lip blush also work beautifully together for fuller, well-defined, tinted lips.
If you’re combining both, you’ll need to allow at least 4 weeks between lip injections and permanent makeup for proper healing. If filler has migrated outside your natural lip line, we’ll recommend having it dissolved first.
Lip blush can gently refine your shape by enhancing the borders, but we can’t work beyond the natural vermilion border onto skin tissue, as this can cause issues with fading over time.
