Artistry Drawing & Design

All Semi Permanent Makeup and Microblading consist of a 3 stage process, usually delivered within two appointments.

The first stage is the consultation.

The second stage is your initial treatment.

The third stage is your retouch treatment

around 4 to 6 weeks later.

In the consultation, our clients expectations are listened to and we work together with choosing artistry design that is in keeping with the clients facial structure and features.

A patch test is provided and we prepare the client for their pre and aftercare treatment journey and treatment plan.

The consultation is a fun 30min interactive session, that gives us both the opportunity to get to

know each other better.

The consultation is free, and with

no obligation to book a treatment.

Artistry Drawing & Design

Artistry drawing and design is also known as Brow, Lips & Lash liner Mapping.

This is where we create an outline of the area we are working within. When creating new semi permanent hairstrokes we always follow the same

directional hair pattern and flow, keeping it

to a natural enhanced result.

Lip blush tattoo is kept within the natural lip edge

(vermillion boarder). Light and airy shading is delivered to the lips, resulting in fuller lips with a pop of natural colour.

The lash liner tattoo stays within the lash line area, with tiny amounts of shading to give the illusion of thicker fuller lashes. The eye appears more define and makeup dressed. Often a little flick is given to the outer edge of eye, this creates a slight lift & smile to the design of the eye.

The initial treatment day will consist of a step by step process of the semi permanent makeup treatment and journey.

Client comfort is of the most important.

Warm, cosy and plenty of numbing cream.

We recap part of the semi permanent makeup consultation with aftercare and artistry drawing, design and pigment

colour choosing. The entire treatment is an experience to remember. Ending with a beautiful

finished result often lasting for 3 years

if not more. (skin type depending)

The duration of the semi permanent makeup treatments take around 1.5 to 3 hours, depending

on treatment choice.

We use permanent makeup industry Digital Tattoo Machine and a microblading hand tool. Everything we use is single use and discarded after each client.

The Retouch Treatment

The semi permanent makeup retouch treatment for eyebrow tattoo is just as important as the initial treatment. We add more reenforced semi permanent hairstrokes to the eyebrow areas that might look a little faint.

The semi permanent makeup retouch treatment with lip blush tattoo and lash liner tattoo, we build more layers of pigment colour to create stronger lasting colour.

Duration is around 30mins and 1hr 30mins. Depending on treatment choice.

The retouch is incorporated within

your original price.

Colour Boost Maintenance - 12-18 or 18 to 24 months

Colour boosts are designed to maintain definition in your hair strokes and eyebrow colour.

We recommend a colour boost treatment around 18 to 24 months (This may vary depending upon your skin type, oily skins may need it between 12 to 18 months)

This is separate from your initial treatment.

We will gently remind you about your colour boost around 12 months after your first treatment.

Pre & After Care

Pre- Care Semi Permanent Makeup

For the semi permanent makeup best results, we recommend the following:

• Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish/primrose oil) 48 hours before your procedure to avoid excess bleeding.

Avoid the following facial procedures 3 to 4 weeks before:

• Botox and fillers

• Chemical peels (Glycolic, Alpha Hydroxy, Salicylic Acid)

• Exfoliation and retinol product.

• Laser Facials, both ablative and non-ablative, Co2, and IPL laser treatments

• Brow waxing/shaping (2 days in advance) If you can leave your brows to grow for a week or so prior, so we can see your natural hair growth.

• Brow tinting (1 week in advance)

• If you arrive with signs of sun burn or exposure, or if your lips are chapped we will unfortunately have to reschedule your appointment and you will forfeit your booking fee.

If you suffer from cold sores, and you have chosen to receive the Lip blush treatment, we recommend you let your artist know in advance or during your consultation, prior to booking your treatment. (advise will be provided)

APPOINTMENT DAY.

On your semi permanent makeup treatment day appointment, we ask that you come prepared and follow the points below.

• Eat a light snack 20 to 30 minutes before arriving and keep hydrated.

• No intense exercise 2 hours prior to appointment.

• Be as relaxed as possible. (when you arrive we will make sure you are cosy and warm on our heated treatment couch, with a spa like feel. Nice chilled music and a gorgeous spa candle.

• Wear relaxed clothing that you can sit and lay down in for an extended period of time

Upon arrival, what to expect from your semi permanent makeup treatment journey and experience:

• Recap on your consultation. As artists, we will work with you to design your semi permanent makeup tattoo. Our focus will be to enhance your natural features, the design includes hand - drawn outline shape and individual semi permanent makeup hairstrokes.

Please feel free to bring photos of tattoo examples that are similar to the look you're hoping for.

We choose a pigment match based on your skin tone and natural hair colour. We'll also discuss care and healing during this time.

• Numbing: (30 min) Prior to the semi permanent makeup procedure or earlier if you want to apply your own numbing, a topical aesthetic (5% lidocaine Emla ointment or cream) is applied. We also layer an additional numbing agent during the tattooing to increase your comfort.

• Semi permanent makeup tattooing: (Duration depends on service) Your tattoo artist will carefully implant pigment to mimic the appearance of natural hair, lip colour or lash liner within the designed shape.

For semi permanent makeup best results, we recommend the following:

The results and longevity of your new semi permanent eyebrow tattoo, lip blush tattoo or lash liner tattoo will

depend greatly on your aftercare & lifestyle, how you take care of your skin during the healing

process and sun exposure.

Each client's skin can respond differently, both in the length of time it takes to heal and the

number of sessions required to achieve your desired results and colour retention. This can be

due to: skin type, age, health and medication.

This information acts as a guideline only; we cannot guarantee your results.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Immediately following the semi permanent makeup procedure, you may experience minimal discomfort on the treated

area or slight redness and swelling.

Many clients describe a similar sensation as a sunburn. Symptoms will subside within 24 to 48

hours.

During the first week, the tattooed area will initially appear to be darker and bolder in colour and

more sharply defined than the final result.

Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin is normal throughout the first few weeks of the healing

period. To avoid loss of pigmentation, DO NOT itch or remove scabs. They will naturally fall off

on their own.

Semi permanent makeup adjustments and touch-ups can be made only after the healing period is complete.

During the healing process, please avoid the following:

Application of makeup on the tattooed area for 2 weeks.

Direct water on the tattoo and the use of cleansers (except lip blush), soaps and heavy creams.

Wash around the areas of permanent makeup not on the area, using a cleaning cloth or oil-free

makeup wipe.

Avoid the following:

● Vaseline and any other petroleum based products.

● Activities that will cause sweating for 10 days.

● Swimming pools, hot tubs or other bodies of water for 14 days.

● Facials, facial massage or intensive skin treatments.

● Exposure to the sun and tanning beds can cause fading and discoloration of the

pigment. Once completely healed, always apply sunscreen (30 SPF or greater) on the

treated area.

● Laser light therapy, as it can darken/lighten or distort the pigment. Once completely

healed, always apply sunscreen (30 SPF or greater) on the treated area.

● Exfoliation products, retinol acids or AHA's on the area for 30 days after the

appointment to avoid premature fading.
